Miracle in the desert
Miracle in the Desert
There may be a little cloud
In the desert sky up there
Our cries are becoming loud
All through this tearful nightmare
We need the rain to wash it
We need blessings from on High
A sweet miracle to hit
That we may breathe a good sigh
Hope is lingering in us
But please make it rain again
So we may leave all this fuss
Behind, and enjoy our gain
We pray for Divine healing
Our faith sees the little cloud
And our hearts are still singing
Hurt, but of the fight we're proud
Humbled in this tough ordeal
We walk sad through the desert
Life has served us a bad deal
We are pursued by this dirt
We need a great rain to clean
This mad invisible mess
We sing for flowers to glean
A new spring and nothing less
We yearn for Holy breakthrough
For life to come back and bloom
And God to see our earth through
We dream of days without gloom
